Fountainbridge finally brought the run of poor results to an end with an emphatic win over their fellow strugglers, Stables today at their home patch at Saughton. Having only played them once before it was a bit of a revenge mission having lost 1-0 to an o.g in the final minute the last time round, and if the Bridge attackers had brought their shooting boots it could and should have been game over by half time. 27.09.09 Nine man Bridge battle for credible draw Fountainbridge had to battle against Sporting ICAPB with just 9 men after 3 players failed to turn up. It started badly for the Bridge at Saughton after going behind just 5 minutes in. However they dug in and managed to hold the score at that until half time, and in the second half Barry Fearn scored a half volley from a corner with just 15 minutes to go for a decent result under the circumstances.
